Alblasserdam
When the residents saw this freestanding huis in Alblasserdam they knew right away, this had to be their new paradise. However, there was still some work to be done. The house looked small and dated, so everything had to change. A spacious extension was realized with two skylights for an optimal experience of the environment. In addition, the glass section in the facade significantly enlarged to maximize the unobstructed view of the meadows. The floor and kitchen were also renovated. A large part of the furniture was taken from the previous home and comes into their own here.
They wanted a warm and colorful look and so succeeded. For the interior, a palette was composed of rich, warm colors such as cobalt blue and ocher yellow. This was complemented by a floral wallpaper, dark wood and warm orange. The result is daring and a home where they feel at home.
Below first a few 3D images from and design and then photos of the result.
